Pupils Visits
Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is a very broad discipline, which at RWTH is divided into the five fields of competence "Energy and Environment", "Information, Communication and Electronics", "Information Technology Systems", "Medical Technology" and "Mirco- and Nanoelectronics".
In Januaryr, the Institute of Communication Systems organized two events for pupils.
As in the years before, the IKS supported the activities of the "Schüleruni" so that pupils of different grades could gain insights into the work at the institute.
Pupils Laboratory | Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium
As part of the Netherlands exchange of the Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium, we invited pupils from two schools to the institute to give them some insights in our daily work.
This year the IKS took part in the RWTH Science Night "5 vor 12". On Friday, 9 November 2018, between 7 p.m. and midnight, science could be experienced.
During the "Schüleruni 2018" pupils from different grades experienced the everyday life in our institute.
RWTH Orientation Day for Pupils
To give electrical engineering a face, we contributed to the RWTH program for pupils.
Program for School Students | Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium & Schule in Veldhofen
Pupils from the Kaiser-Karls-Gymnasium and a school in Veldhoven (Netherlands) were guests at our Institute to gain first insights into the world of work.
Visit of the Bernardinuscollege Heerlen
A total of 24 students from the Bernardinuscollege from Heerlen were guests at the Institute and actively took part in various offers.
This Tuesday students were invited as part of the consultation days at the RWTH Aachen University to attend a lecture at the Institute. Dr. Christiane Antweiler gave a special lecture entitled "Speech in Bits and Bytes".
