Seminar Selected Topics in Rurberg
This year, students participating in the seminar Selected Topics in Communications Engineering worked out different aspects of the topic "Machine Learning for Audio-Visual Signal Processing".
The seminar is jointly organized by IENT and IKS. Participants acquire knowledge on recent scientific developments in the field of Communications Engineering. Emphasis is also placed on the teaching and practicing of presentation skills. In technical lectures, participants inform each other about their results.
In the summer term, these presentations took place on two days at the Youth Hostel in Simmerath-Rurberg. The dense technical program was complemented with a barbecue and social evening and a hike into the scenic surrounding Rureifel countryside. This way, the seminar allowed the participants to get in touch with other students, tutors and the two professors outside of the presentation sessions.
