ND Weather Station Goes Online
As part of a thesis, a weather station was set up to verify the quality of weather forecast data freely available in the internet.
It has been shown that the limited spatial resolution of the weather models leads to a systematic error. The application of signal processing techniques such as exponential smoothing and Kalman filtering allows for a reduction of this error and improves the weather forecast for a specific location.
