As part of the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of our institute, we had the special honor of welcoming our former employee and current CEO of TeamViewer, Oliver Steil.
At the invitation of Prof. Vary, Oliver Steil kindly participated in our scientific colloquium and delivered a lecture titled "Digital Twins, AI, Spatial Computing, et al. - How Software is Finally Driving Industrial Digitalization."
In his exciting lecture, Oliver Steil began with a brief overview of his career and his time at the institute. He then discussed his current role as CEO of TeamViewer, providing fascinating insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with leading a global technology company.
Particularly impressive was his depiction of the innovation and transformation TeamViewer has undergone in recent years. Oliver Steil illustrated how the company has evolved from a pure provider of remote access solutions to a leading player in digital networking and remote work.
The lecture concluded with a lively Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to engage directly with Oliver Steil. The questions ranged from specific technical aspects to strategic considerations.
