Institute Tour for First Semester Master Students
As part of the first week organized by the Fachschaft, we were able to welcome eight first-year master's students to our institute.
ITG Conference on Speech Communication 2021
The 14th ITG Conference on Speech Communication was organized this year by Prof. Gerhard Schmidt and his team from the Chair of "Digital Signal Processing and System Theory" at Christian-Albrechts-Universität, Kiel in online format.
International Conference on Immersive and 3D Audio
The International Conference on Immersive and 3D Audio (I3DA 2021) originally scheduled in Bologna, Italy, was held virtually and was hosted by the University of Bologna. General Conference Chair was Prof. Lamberto Tronchin (University of Bologna, President of AES Italian Section) and Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board Prof. Angelo Farina (University of Parma).

Also this year, due to the current Corona situation, the European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO) was not held in Dublin (Ireland) as originally planned, but purely virtually.
Maximilian Kentgens represented the IKS at the 47th Annual Conference on Acoustics, which took place from 15 to 18 August 2021 in the Austrian capital Vienna. The MP3 inventor Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. rer. nat. h.c. mult. Karlheinz Brandenburg was awarded the Helmholtz Medal for his life's work.
