IKS Start-up "Elevear" in RWTH Incubation Program
The start-up project "Elevear", funded by EXIST, has been accepted into the second batch of the RWTH Incubation Program of the RWTH Innovation GmbH. Throughout the Incubation Program, particularly promising start-ups supported by numerous workshops and a comprehensive mentoring and coaching offer.
Also this year, the Institute of Communication Systems participated in the Study Information Day for high school students. The Study Information Day is organized by the RWTH's Central Student Advisory Service and is aimed at high school graduates and prospective students.
EXIST Business Start-Up Grand for "Elevear"
Beginning December 1st 2020, the IKS project "Digital Opening the Ear" will receive an EXIST Business Start-up Grand with the name "Elevear". The EXIST Business Start-up Grand is a support program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and is co-financed by the European Social Fund. The team led by Stefan Liebich, Johannes Fabry and Raphael Brandis will prepare to found a start-up.
The 49th International Congress and Exposition on Noise Control Engineering (Inter-Noise) took place from 23.-26. August 2020. The Congress was hosted by the Korean Society for Noise and Vibration Engineering. The topics of the Congress focus on "Advances in Noise and Vibration Control Technology".
This year's "AES International Conference on Audio for Virtual and Augmented Reality (AVAR)" was a very special event: Participants from all over world met virtually in Redmond, USA, to listen to the contributions of Sebastian Nagel ("Coherence-Adaptive Binaural Cue Adaptation") and Maximilian Kentgens ("Translation of a Higher Order Ambisonics Sound Scene by Space Warping").
