DAGA Best Poster Award
The 51st Annual Conference on Acoustics, DAS|DAGA 2025, took place from March 17 to 20, 2025, at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This joint conference was organized by the German Acoustical Society (DEGA), the Danish Acoustical Society (DAS), and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in collaboration with the Danish Sound Cluster. The IKS was represented at the conference by Egke Chatzimoustafa.
Egke Chatzimoustafa presented his contribution on “A Comprehensive Room Impulse Response Database for Spatial Audio” and was awarded the DAGA Best Poster Award for his work!
This paper introduces a novel spatial room impulse response database, recorded using an Eigenmike em64 in a low-reverberation room compliant with ITU-R BS.1116-3. The database contains 145,152 impulse responses from 2,268 source-receiver combinations. Simulations demonstrate the advantages of high spatial resolution for sound field reconstruction and Steered Response Power (SRP) mapping. The publicly available database aims to support research in sound source localization, acoustic scene analysis, and AI-assisted signal processing.
